Be sure to get out and get sunlight, plenty of it.
if you can, a lap-top helps out tremendously, because your work place can be the car, the park, the beach, whatever, and at night, you can relax on your couch, or on a futon, and type away.
Most of your motivation will be from being in a happy place, and seeing the results of your labors. If you must stay indoors, then buy a divider, the tri-fold sort, to break up your space from one room into two spaces.I jut bought a shop sink at a place called Re-Store, which sells products taken from abandoned homes, sell-outs, home sales, home destruction for rebuilding, etc. and there was a folding partision that was only $13, and it was beautiful. I didn't need it, so I didn't buy it, but look to see if there is any place like this around you. We actually have two places, and both are not-for-profit stores that give back to the community through sales, as well as the knowledge of working in the construction field to obtain a better way of life for the poor and minority.
OK, I m blabbing on and on, but you may also want to surround yourself with your favorite smells for insense or candles, or the windows wide open for fresh air, but perhaps taking a brisk walk out in the open air will awaken your senses and motivate you before you start your work.
take breaks and re-charge whenever you feel the need. That's a benefit of working from the homefront
References :
You sound like you're one of those people that have to GO to work. I'm one of those, if I work at home I'm hopeless. What you need is a small office somewhere so that you can leave home and go to work. Believe me it will work wonders and you have the added benefit of coming home again after work. Jules, lecturer.
How to stay motivated & happy working from home?
I work in the IT industry and my company might be relocating. The few days Ive worked from home before, Ive really struggled with motivation. I live in a small studio so I cant have a dedicated room for work. How can I stay motivated?

I had no idea, the US government was this heartless towards aged Americans. I left the US and live in Australia. The government here offers financial support to family's like this, where the grandparents take over responsibility of there grandchildren

When there children are deemed unfit or can't look after there children due to disability or death. Do some inquiries at social security about this, you should be entitled to a child support payment and also to child endowment if your looking after your grand child or children. It's just wrong for a government to ignore many elderly Americans in this position. When single mothers receive child support or unmarried mothers payment.

You should question your local candidates in your state who are campaigning, also check out there profiles and agenda's on the net to see if this could be a raised subject within this upcoming election.
References :
What is the candidates going to do in helping grandparents raising children?
many grandparents raise their grandchildren doesn't qualify for help that is suppose to be offered. Their income is used to support their grandchildren and they do without.

All daycares are different, but you could just tell the ladies at the daycare that your kid needs to be handfed or else he'll make a mess..

When my kid was 15mths , i just bought a bag to keep all his clothes and stuff ..
Utensils? I just packed ;
1 Sippy cup / Baby bottle ;D
1 Small bowl ( my kid loved yoghurt so i packed yoghurt for her too, and the yoghurt that i bought came in quite small packing so i didnt want it to get too messy so i just told the ladies at the daycare to put the yoghurt in the bowl )
2 Spoons ( i make sure the ladies at the Day.c wash it everyday and give it back to me

That's all :) Any more info email me!
References :
don't worry - at the day care, they will know exactly how to look after him and no, you don't have to send dishes along. i didn't have a kid in day care that young but my youngest attends an all-ages day care and the parents of the littles are only required to provide diapers, wipes, and formula if the baby is still on it. (i'd have serious issues with a day care that requires you to pack up the house along with the kid!)

when my kids were that young, i didn't hand-feed them, either - i put the food in front of them and let them work out how to get it down the hatch.
References :
generally they will see each child as an individual and if your son can't feed himself a yoghurt or anything else yet they will feed it to him but they will encourage his self feeding development as well.

At our daycare they provide bowls, spoons, plates etc...but we provide their own preferred sippy cup/drink bottle of water (which they refill over the course of the day) and their own bottles if he is still having a bottle of milk.

Then he will need a lunch box with enough food to cover him for the day. Usually they have three seperate meals of morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
At our daycare we provide 1 piece of fruit (any fruit) and that is cut up and share between all the children in that room as a sort of 'fruit salad' so they try a variety of fruits and don't just get an apple everyday. This fruit salad is their morning tea. Then the next two meals are whatever we wish it to be. We can provide a warm lunch and they will heat it up for us.

Each daycare varies so you really need to check with the daycare he is going to, to find out exactly what you need to bring with him.

Usually before he starts you should do a few visit sessions for an hour where you stay with him and play for an hour to let him get used to being there and the carers as well and during that time they will tell you exactly what he should have with him and its a good chance for you to ask questions about their routines like sleeping, feeding, changing etc..
References :
mum of 3
